Waving to the crowd! The royal looked great, considering she just got back from a two-day trip to West Africa, where she spoke about the importance of women's rights.
"Since the world's first Christmas stamp was sent on the streets of Denmark in 1904, the small stickers have been sold over three billion times. Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess was able to publish the 118th Christmas badge in a row today together with illustrator Peter Bay Alexandersen, who is the artist behind this year's badge," a caption read via Instagram.
The note continued, "This year's Christmas stamp is entitled 'Home for Christmas.' The motif shows a wooden ship moored to the quay, from where people return home to their families and friends with their hands full of packages and Christmas trees. The profit from Christmas stamp sales goes to the five Christmas stamp homes that the foundation runs in Denmark.
The princess received flowers during the event.
"Here, children who are bullied feel alone and do not believe they are worth anything, can get a 10-week stay. During a stay, the children become part of a community with the support of both children and adults. The publication of the Christmas stamp 2021 took place at Copenhagen City Hall, and at the event there were also musical elements from the Christmas stamp foundation's children's choir and singer Andreas Odbjerg," the note said of the stamp.
Too cute! The princess smiled with the new stamp in the background.
The children, who sported similar shirts, posed with Mary.
