Queen Camilla relaxes protocol while on tour Down Under.

The Queen, 77, is rumored to be afflicted with foot pain, which is easily excusable "when you consider her age and the extensive walking these tours require," a PR analyst shared.

During their time in the Aussie capital, Her Majesty and King Charles III, 75, made a stop at the city’s famous Opera House, where they greeted a large crowd of enthusiastic fans who had gathered for hours to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.

Later, they took to the water, boarding a boat in Sydney Harbor to participate in an Australian Navy fleet review.

On Wednesday, October 23, their tour continued in Samoa, where they are set to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. In a playful nod to the then-upcoming visit, the King got a taste of Samoan culture during a Buckingham Palace event, even trying his hand at traditional Samoan dancing — leaving his Queen to prepare her most comfortable shoes for what’s ahead.

The King and Queen of Australia were greeted by numerous Aussie dignitaries upon their arrival.

Camilla is the first British Queen Consort to ever tour Australia, and Her Majesty has also decided to throw palace protocol out the window when meeting Aussie royal fans.

On Sunday, October 20, the Queen of Australia attended a church service before causing royal courtiers' jaws to drop when Her Majesty posed for a selfie with a fan.

This led a royal reporter to share, "While there is no royal rule regarding selfies, it is generally discouraged for members of the royal family to pose for selfies."

It was also reported by an outlet that the Queen made an extra stop on the flight from Britain to Sydney, Australia, on Friday, October 18.

Her Majesty Queen Camilla wore a Fiona Clare silk crepe dress of royal blue, along with the Australian wattle broch upon arrival in Sydney, Australia, October 18, 2024.

"Queen Camilla is said to have a fear of flying and has previously departed early for royal tours, breaking up the trips with a stop at a favorite spa," the publication shared.

The King and Queen toured Australia for a mere six days before moving on to Samoa. The trip also marks the King's first foreign tour since his cancer diagnosis in February.

Their Majesties said they were both "looking forward to returning to this beautiful country to celebrate the extraordinarily rich cultures and communities that make it so special."

However, Indigenous protests have also cast a shadow over Their Majesties' trip, but both monarch and consort have defied the dissent and are dedicated to "being seen to be believed."
